Deanna Spingola interviews Michael Walsh author of “Heroes Hang when Traitors Triumph”

Heroes HangOn February 16, 2015 Deanna Spingola interviewed author Michael Walsh about his new book entitled “Heroes Hang when Traitors Triumph”. (Spingola and Friends Radio Show). The book “questions the wisdom of defaming Europe’s most gifted men simply because they go some way to restoring their reputations”.  It was published just recently on Jan. 27, 2015 and is available on Amazon as a paperback and in Kindle format. In this two hour interview they covered a great many interesting topics.  I am sure my regular readers will enjoy this conversation and will also have a better understanding of the man, his life, his views and his motivations, and of some fascinating but little known history. While I have not yet read the book yet myself, judging by his previous works, I am certainly looking forward to it!

ABOUT THE BOOK:  “Imagine Whitehall renamed Adolph Hitler Esplanade, The Arno Breker Gallery of European Art, Hyde Park known as Lawrence of Arabia Park. In Norway monuments erected to Vidkun Quisling and Knut Hamsun. In Romania; squares named in honour of Corneliu Codreanu. Throughout Ireland and the U.S. streets and squares honouring the name of William Joyce. Military defeat is often followed by the character assassination of the fallen foe. For 100 years, after Napoleon’s exile, his name was not uttered in England without venomous riposte. Had the Reich triumphed, or a peaceful solution been found in 1940, many figures vilified today might be applauded and honoured in mainstream media, television documentaries, and schoolbooks.

Perhaps, Heroes Hang when Traitors Triumph will be a reminder that the victors narrative can and will turn saints into sinners at the stroke of a palace journalist’s pen. Here then are the true stories of men whose feats set examples of rare courage and fortitude, yet whose reputations have since been defiled by victors propaganda. Very few people hate Adolph Hitler as they simply do not know the man. What they do hate is a mythical figure that artful propaganda has made him and many others out to be. Heroes Hang when Traitors Triumph will perhaps give a different perspective of former much vilified foes.”

  1. fjlzegers says:

The heroes of yesterday would be rejected by the cowardly, worthless, immoral, untrustworthy, greedy shit that rules today, by deceipt, blackmailing by issues of shame.
